Suzanne,
My grandmother, Miriam actually brought your grandfather, Boheeg David Saleeby from Mt Lebanon to Lixington, NC in 1914 to join her husband, David, Boheeg's father, a shoemaker. David died in 1919? Miriam moved to Greensboro for a short time before settling in Salisbury where her brother in law, A.B. Saleeby hed been established since around 1901 in a wholesale produce business. In Salisbry Mariam owned several reatuarants with her 2nd husband, another Saleeby named Fred, Uncle Robert's father. The most famous of these, The Red Swan still draw comments even though it closed in 1949.
